Travel on your ATV in the area of the most dramatic waterfall in the Black Hills, Roughlock Falls. My Favorite Ride, the Red Lake trails includes both 62” trails and trail-like Forest Service roads. The scenery is not unlike the beautiful Spearfish Canyon located a few miles to the North.
RALLY with us at the STURGIS OFFROAD RALLY.
The Forest Service designed Red Lake Trailhead for a family experience. The OHV trails travel cross old logging roads and through scenic Aspen groves that are particularly nice in the fall.
A great place to stay and ride straight to the trails, is MYSTIC HILLS HIDEAWAY RESORT.
An America’s Holiday tree was donated in 1997 to the U.S. Capital Building.
Stop at a site that marks a Dances with Wolves movie site.
Waterfalls in the area include: Community Falls, Annie Creek Falls, Bridel Veil Falls, Eleventh Hour Gulch Falls, Iron Creek Falls, Roughlock Falls, Spearfish Falls and Squaw Creek Falls.
Take a bath at the “Devils Bathtub.”
AFTER A GREAT DAY OF RIDING, RELAX AT THE WHITETAIL CREEK RESORT CREEK-SIDE PAVILLION.
Walk into history at the “old cellar.” Or climb into the eye of Timon Cave.

The Black Hills have great ATV trails and Forest Service roads. I have traveled most of them. Our forest service roads are either road-like or trail-like. On my Favorite Rides pages, I have highlighted the many TRAIL-LIKE Forest Service Roads.
I put this website together to help others enjoy their ATV visit to South Dakota. When I ATV out of my state, I realize how difficult it is to plan a three day ride without good information. I hope my website will be good information for you.
