This set of trails takes you through a state game production area and into a historic mining area. This is an excellent set of trails for easy access out of Spearfish SD. Watch for great scenery as you climb to the top of Spearfish Canyon. Travel the same roads that Blackhills gold ore was moved for processing into Deadwood and Lead. As you cross a bridge on Carbonate road over False Bottom Creek, watch for False Bottom Creek Falls.
RALLY with us at the STURGIS OFFROAD RALLY.
Parking for these trails is not at a Forest Service trailhead, but it is on Forest Service land.
A water features here is False Bottom Creek Falls.

Black Hills National Forest Map
The Black Hills have great ATV trails and Forest Service roads. I have traveled most of them. Our forest service roads are either road-like or trail-like. On my Favorite Rides pages, I have highlighted the many TRAIL-LIKE Forest Service Roads and the ATV trails.
I put this website together to help others enjoy their ATV visit to South Dakota. When I ATV out of my state, I realize how difficult it is to plan a three day ride without good information. I hope my website will be good information for you.
