Watch for trails that take you into Blackhills National Forest Experimental Forest. Some Black Hills trails are just fun to ride. These fun trails are usually in an interesting location or they navigate an area that helps the rider get close to the beauty of the Black Hills. Riley Hill Trailhead trails offer majestic trees, flowing waters, rocky outcrops, and hidden treasures.
And if you get your fun from more challenging trails, the Merritt ATV 62″ Trails System is also accessed from this Riley Hill Trailhead.

The Black Hills have great ATV trails and Forest Service roads. I have traveled most of them. Our forest service roads are either road-like or trail-like. On my Favorite Rides pages, I have highlighted the many TRAIL-LIKE Forest Service Roads and the ATV trails.
I put this website together to help others enjoy their ATV visit to South Dakota. When I ATV out of my state, I realize how difficult it is to plan a three day ride without good information. I hope my website will be good information for you.
